Established in Year 1983, now with over 30 years presence in Indian Electronics Market, OSCAR had become a household name in white goods electronics products. The company was established by a team of professionals under the leadership of Mr. Satish Verma & Mr. Kishan Kumar Kejriwal – The then Chairman and MD respectively. Oscar started with its first factory in Teghoria-Kolkata in West Bengal with 75 workers, the brand today employs a working strength of more than 300 employees including 50+ administrative staffs. We have now expanded our manufacturing units in India at Noida (UP), Mohali (Punjab), Solan & Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh) and Kolkata (West Bengal) keeping in minds the Pan India manufacturing facilities and marketing. We boost a strong network of more than 84 distributors and 5000 retailers in North and Eastern India alone and slowly but steadily catching up with the rest of India too. A strong and efficient after sales service network is present at all point of sales through direct control by the company technicians as well as through specialized service franchisees.

Since our start in 1983, Oscar India has grown into a trusted national brand known for steady progress, strong craftsmanship, and evolving innovation. With committed leadership and a focus on customers, we’ve expanded our capabilities and built a legacy of quality and reliability.
1983-1989
We have been attributed to be the first factory in Eastern India to manufacture the first 20″ Colour Television in our Kolkata factory using Toshiba circuits and our model “Shiba 511 Dlx” was an instant hit. Model-Award-9-Dlx was our first Black and White TV in the 14″ segment with a combination of Plastic/Wooden cabinet and “Goldstar”- Currently “LG” circuitry. The TV was such a hit that it became a household name in the late 80’s in the Eastern Indian market.
1990-1999
In the end of 90’s we swept the Indian market offering 14″ CTV at an MRP of Rs.5990/- and 21″ Flat CTV at 7990/- (under our budget brand RONIX) whereas the average price of nearest competitor was in the range of Rs. 8000/- to 12000/- for 14″ and 21″ CTV respectively.
2000-2006
In the early 2000 we expanded in to the manufacturing of Video Compact Disc (VCD) and other music systems and was at Number One position in terms of volume sales – According to the published figures in TV Veopar Journal (Feb-2002) Post 2006 VCD’s were replaced by Digital Video Disc (DVD) and OSCAR did exceedingly well in that segment too.
2014
In the year 2011 we made a humble beginning into the LCD market but have very aggressively moved to the LED segment and already a force to reckon with. We have already made our mark into the entry level 16″/21″/24″/32″ LED segment and have big plans for 40″ and above LED segment shortly. We are getting excellent response in the electrical market as well. Our Rechargeable Emergency Lights and Induction Cookers have been well accepted in the market. Getting encouraged by it we are now foraying into the Fan Industry. Our first fan factory will be ready for production by December-2014 with full range of ceiling, table and stand fans.
2015
Successfully opened up our First Fan factory in Gholaghata – Kolkata – West Bengal in the month of February 2015 manufacturing full range of Ceiling and Table Fans. Also launched 39″ and 42″ range of Led Tv’s with the best in a-grade class panels in the market. Will be launching 50″ and above very soon. On January 2016 we had Launched a full range of Power Banks for Mobile Phones and Ipad / Ipods. We added Portable Bluetooth Speakers and an exhaustive range of 2.0 Tower Speaker with our existing range of Multimedia Speakers.
